Thank you for taking the time to learn more about my work and practice. I come from a rich background and am honored to share the accumulation of my experience and education with you. I have often avoided the title of healer as I do not believe someone heals us, but rather that we heal ourselves. However, my journey continues to reflect in me the archetype of the wounded healer, as I find myself more and more capable of supporting others when I allow the light to enter through my own wounds. I believe it is a combination of the wounded healer, my considerable educational and experiential history and my sharp intuition that allows me to be so effective in this work.
I have deep personal and familial experience with life threatening illness, death and dying, addiction, scarcity, violence and trauma. Yet among those experiences I have risen above to find myself traveling all over the world, thriving in my work and relationships, taking worthwhile risks and enjoying a present, active and meaningful lifestyle. And I know from my core that I am designed to help others do the same.
I have degrees, certifications and continuing education credits in the following: life coaching, gender studies, sociology, peace and justice studies, yoga (vinyasa, ashtanga, yin, nidra & trauma informed), Reiki and nutrition. Beyond this formal training, I have ongoing relationships with mentors who guide my personal and professional development through the independent study of Buddhism, Ayurveda, marma therapy, chakra theory, and vedic philosophy.
I am also a writer, a teacher, an athlete, an entrepreneur, a social justice advocate and a believer in magic. I look forward to working with you.
